What we collect for the giveaway

• Name and email you enter at iredellcallsandweatheralerts.com/contest. One entry per person; email is identity and the private way we contact potential winners.
• Verification status — whether your email was verified and when.
• Public anonymous ID — e.g. e0001, assigned in entry order. The published entry list and full ranking use these IDs instead of names or emails.

How we use it

• To administer the giveaway: verify eligibility, de-duplicate, publish the anonymous entry list, and run the random drawing.
• To reveal each potential winner's submitted name and anonymous ID during the Facebook Live drawing and retain that recording.
• To contact potential winners privately by email and arrange delivery after confirmation.

No information sold, rented, or shared for marketing. Email addresses are never shown during the livestream. Non-winners remain anonymous; only the five potential winners' submitted names are revealed.

Sharing

We share only what's needed to operate the giveaway: email delivery via Resend and storage/hosting via Supabase and Vercel. Winners' shipping information is shared with the carrier to deliver the prize.

Retention

Entry data is kept to administer the drawing, handle alternates (7-day response window), and satisfy any winner-list request. Non-winning entry data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days after the confirmed winners are announced, except for the archived anonymous drawing list and winner announcement which remain for transparency.

Your choices

Entry is voluntary. You may request that your entry be withdrawn before the entry deadline (Sept 15, 2026 12:00 AM ET) by emailing support@iredellcallsandweatheralerts.com from the address you entered. After the entry list is published, the frozen list cannot be altered; withdrawal then means you forfeit any prize and will be skipped as an alternate.

Site data & cookies

The main ICAW site shows public-safety call data and radar; it uses only essential cookies for session and theme. No advertising trackers. Analytics, if any, are anonymized.

Security

Access to entry data is limited to the operator and secured hosting providers. Email links are single-use and expire.

Children

Open to 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

Updates will be posted here with a new date. For the giveaway, the Official Rules posted at /contest/rules control if there is a conflict.
